WLI-TX4-AG300N AirStation Nfiniti is a Wireless-N dual band Ethernet converter, 4 Ethernet ports allow you connect XBOX 360, Sony PS, DVR, and TV to dual-band wireless N network with high-speed of up to 300Mbps.
Generally you need a wireless bridge to allow you connect an Ethernet based device to the wireless network. A wireless bridge device typically includes one single Ethernet port to let you connect an Ethernet based device (such as XBOX 360, DVR, or Ethernet based TV) to your wireless network – this device becomes a wireless client. So if you need to connect 4 Ethernet based devices you need 4 wireless bridges. No, that’s too much – you just need one wireless bridge and one 8-port Switch (actually you need 5-port Switch: one port for the wireless bridge and the other 4 ports for device clients). But with single WLI-TX4-AG300N, you can resolve your problem.
What this Product Does
Buffalo WLI-TX4-AG300N AirStation Nfiniti is a wireless N dual band Ethernet converter with 4-port Ethernet to allow you connect up to 4 Ethernet based devices (such as XBOX 360 game console, Ethernet based DVR, network enabled HDTV, Ethernet printer, computer etc) to your existing wireless network at once. The device is powered with the latest wireless 802.11n technology and supports dual-band both 2.4GHz and 4GHz frequency band based devices.
5GHz frequency band is ideal for multimedia traffic such as for gaming and streaming video, the band is cleaner than 2.4GHz band. You can take advantage of the WLI-TX4-AG300N when your wireless router is powered by wireless N standard such as AirStation WZR-HP-G300NH or WHR-HP-G300N. Unfortunately both high power routers do not support dual-band technology, you miss the cleaner 5GHz band – the low interference band compared with 2.4GHz band. Use wireless routers that support wireless N dual band technology such as WNDR37AV by Netgear or Linksys E-3000.
The following figure is a simple networking diagram that uses WLI-TX4-AG300N wireless client adapter to connect XBOX 360, DVR, and HDTV to your wireless network (with wireless –N dual band).
You can compare the WLI-TX4-AG300N wireless client adapter with the new Trendnet TEW-640MB media bridge. This media bridge is also equipped with 4-port Switch to allow you connect up to four Ethernet based devices. Unfortunately the TEW-540MB doesn’t support the dual-band technology.

If you have multiple USB enabled devices (such as USB printer, Camera, USB storage) you can connect them using Belkin Home base. Belkin Home Base is a single solution for print server, USB storage with automatic backup and share wirelessly, automatically share pictures on Flickr® and Picasa®
