To keep your employee stay productive even though they are away from their desk, you require providing wireless access to any types of wireless mobile devices including laptops, tablet computers, smart-phones and iPad. Cisco WAP4410N is designed for small business wireless access point.
What this Product Does
The Cisco WAP4410N is a draft 802.11n small business wireless access point with advanced security features to assure security protection to your information business assets. It’s a powerful device in providing strong wireless coverage with its 3 external dipole antennas and is powered by 3×3 smart MIMO antenna technology for high speed and larger network coverage.
Installation is easy by using web-interface utility and it supports power over Ethernet for easy deployment of the device in area where power outlets are not available yet. This AP is designed for indoor purposes, for outdoor deployment and covering long distance area you may consider high power 600mW outdoor access point such as Amped AP600EX which can reach up to 1.5 miles away. For small offices with larger area to cover you may allso consider the Amped SR300 wireless smart repeater.
If currently you apply network segmentations or VLANs (virtual LAN), the WAP4410N supports multiple SSID (up to four SSIDs) you can create and the good thing is that the device supports SSID to VLAN mapping to maintain the application security and quality across wireless and wired network.
For maximum data rate transfer, you can connect the Gigabit Ethernet port of the WAP4410N to any Gigabit Ethernet port of your existing Switch.
Connection Diagram
Figure 1 is networking diagram of the Cisco WAP4410N deployed in small offices, it’s a standard deployment of this AP device which connects to the existing Gigabit LAN network with cable broadband internet connection.
For larger businesses where larger areas need to cover, you may consider the smart WAP541 business class access point with clustering technology. With clustering technology you can deploy multiple WAP541 in a dynamic configuration-aware group. You can configure a single WAP541 and then clone the configuration to groups of AP devices in the same network and subnet.
