There are many available wireless devices options you can select to build a D Link wireless networking. The options range from simple network to share broadband internet in home, wireless network for gaming or media streaming, or expanding the business networks indoor or outdoor environments.
In Home
You can build a simple D Link wireless networking in homes to share your broadband internet connection by using all-in-one device which combines both router and DSL modem in one device.
For wired network, you can use DSL-2540 – a ADSL2/2+ modem with 4 port Ethernet router. With DSL-2540 you can share DSL broadband internet connection with up to 4 computers with wired connection. You need to run the network cable to connect each of the computers to the network. If you need to extend the network wirelessly you can attach DAP-1360 wireless range extender to one of the Ethernet port of the router. The figure 1 shows a simple D Link wireless networking diagram with DSL-2540 and DAP-1360.

With the above solution, your D Link wireless networking consists of two devices: DSL-2540 and DAP-1360. This is your simple solution for wireless network if you already have DSL-2540 router with you. But if you need a simple wireless network with a single device you have DSL2640 wireless modem – one device that includes the router, DSL modem, and the wireless access point.
Wireless Gaming Network

DAP-2553 can be configured to operate as the wireless Access Point, WDS/Bridge, WDS with AP or Wireless Client. Make sure that your wireless AP supports WDS. WDS allows a wireless network to be expanded using multiple access points without the need for a wired backbone to link them, as is traditionally required.
