Advanced Wireless Security
DAP-1350 wireless access point router is powered by the single band 2.4GHz 802.11n technology. With this powerful speed, the router features the latest industrial wireless security – the Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA/WPA2) to ensure that you will be able to use the best possible encryption regardless of your client devices.

Connecting the clients to the wireless network is very easy with the WPS feature by just pushing a button. Press the WPS button to start the WPS process. You will have 120 seconds to start the WPS process on another wireless device. When enabling WPS, the light will blink during broadcast. Once connected, the LED will stay solid for 5 seconds and then turn off.
Setting Up and Configuration
You can change the mode function by changing the mode selector in the device. If you wish to change the default settings or optimize the performance of the DAP-1350, you may use the web-based configuration utility. To access the configuration utility, open a web browser such as Internet Explorer and enter dlinkap or enter the default IP address of DAP-1350 192.168.0.50 in the address field. Type admin and then enter your password. Leave the password blank by default.
To setup and configure your D-Link Dap-1350 in different operation modes, the figure below shows DAP-1350 wireless access point router in three different mode functions. The first mode is the wireless router mode; change the mode selector to RT on the device. Connect the Ethernet WAN port of the router using the UTP cable in one end and connect the other end to the Ethernet port of the modem either DSL or Docsis 3.0 Cable modem.
Second mode is wireless access point. If you have a compact modem-router device in home, then you need wireless access mode to extend the network wirelessly. Change the mode selector to AP on the device. Connect an Ethernet cable from the Ethernet port on the DAP-1350 to a computer for configuration. You may use the web-based configuration utility from your browser by entering dlinkap or 192.168.0.50 in the address field. When the wireless setup wizard appears, click Launch Wireless Setup Wizard to configure your access point and follow through the wizard. The third mode is the wireless client. If you have a game console at home and you would like to play online games wirelessly, you can connect to your existing wireless network using this DAP-1350 in wireless client mode. DAP-1350 includes USB Port with SharePort™ Technology to allow you connect USB devices such as a printer or a storage device to share on your network. The good thing is that DAP-1350 supports Power over USB allowing a PC to power it if AC power is not accessible.
