Wireless ADSL Modem gateway
Building a high performance wireless network in homes for gaming and streaming video typically consists of broadband modem, high performance broadband router, a LAN switch, and high speed wireless access point. A modem is used to connect your home (subscriber premises) to the ISP central office. The types of the modem depend on the service provider either Cable or DSL broadband internet based modem. A router (with firewall feature) helps protecting the network against any types of internet threats. A LAN Switch is used for expanding network with wired or wireless (with wireless Access Point), and a Wireless access point (AP) for wireless network.
Mostly ordinary home users do not have much knowledge in setting up and configuring the networking devices to build a wireless network environment in homes. Connecting the modem to the router improperly or configuring the router improperly can cause no internet connection to network. Setting up and configuring the wireless network for users with networking knowledge might not be a problem. Therefore, Netgear understand the situation. Netgear introduces DGND3300 an all-in-one solution for high-performance wireless network for gaming and streaming video.
