RangeMax Wireless N Gigabit router is equipped with 4 Gigabit ports Switch you can use for wired LAN connection to the desktops computers with Gigabit NIC enabled for faster network performance. You can use one of the desktop computers connected to the Gigabit port as exposed host (DMZ) for secure gaming, this router supports the DMZ feature. The DMZ feature allows one network computer to be exposed to the Internet for use of a special-purpose service such as Internet gaming or videoconferencing. DMZ hosting forwards all the ports at the same time to one PC. The Port Forward feature is more secure because it only opens the ports you want to have opened, while DMZ hosting opens all the ports of one computer, exposing the computer to the Internet.

To share the broadband internet connection with the computers, connect the router to the cable modem or DSL modem that connects to your broadband line.
