High Speed

The TEW-673GRU is powered by he fastest wireless technology 802.11n and support simultaneous dual band wireless with smart antenna MIMO technology delivering the high speeds up to 300Mbps (ideal conditions).  For optimum data throughput, you need to connect the routers to any types of wireless clients that support dual band. With dual band, the network can connect to wireless clients with mix operating bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz bands).

The TEW-673GRU wireless USB router is embedded with Gigabit Ethernet interfaces for both LAN (4xports) and WAN (1xport). Connecting the router to DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem with gigabit Ethernet port will provide optimum data throughput eliminating the bottleneck between the router and the modem.

Advanced Security

Like other wireless routers that support standard wireless security encryption, this router supports WPA/WPA2 including RADIUS authentication. If the requirements of providing guest access with limited access, you can create separate SSID for guest. The TEW-673GRU wireless USB router supports multiple SSIDs to let you create multiple networks virtually to meet your business need.

The router doesn’t support native VPN but it supports multiple VPN pass-through session with wide range of VPN protocols including L2TP, IPSec, and PPTP.

Compared to other router, Apple Airport Extreme base station includes one USB port to let you host either shared storage or shared printer. However, you can add a USB hub to let you host both shared storage and printer at he same time.

Network Connection

Generally the home wireless router diagram can be shown in the following figure below. Connect the WAN port of the router to the Ethernet port of the modem. Configuring the router is easy, but you need to connect a computer to the router using a network cable. You can use the default IP address of the router (192.168.10.1) type in your internet browser and press enter. The default user name is admin and the password is admin.
