Top 10 wireless N600 routers – wireless simultaneous dual band routers delivering the high speeds of up to 300Mbps each band

Wireless router with N600 technology is a simultaneous dual band to support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands concurrently and each band delivers high speeds up to 300Mbps (ideal conditions). On the other hand the wireless routers with N750 technology deliver high speeds up to 450Mbps in 5GHz band which typically adopts the three spatial data streaming. This doubles your bandwidth demand where each band accommodates (shares) the bandwidth with the wireless clients that operate in the same band. As opposed to the selectable dual band routers which are actually a single band at the same time.

There are many wireless N600 routers available in the market today. The table 1 shows the comparison routers which include the major features such as the Interfaces, guest network feature and other main features excluding other standard features (NAT & SPI dual firewall feature for network protection, DHCP server for IP address leasing, WPA/WPA2 etc).

USB port becomes important feature for wireless routers in some cases such as the requirement of sharing an external storage or sharing a printer. Some wireless N600 routers support one USB port for shared storage but cannot be used to host a printer, but some can be used to host either shared storage or printer. If you the requirements of sharing both storage and printer concurrently exist then you should choose the N600 router that supports two USB ports. This is typically a wireless environment that is used for ‘work and play’ such as in small offices.

Guest network is important in some situations where you frequently welcome or invite friends or guests in home and grant internet access for them. With guest network you can create separate SSID (network name) for your guests with different password and with limited access to your local network resources. For small offices, the Guest network feature is very essential where business visitors frequently come to the office for some business purposes.
