Hi Paul,

I assume your Blu-Ray DVD player is equipped with Ethernet port - so that's why you need wet610n for wireless connection.

Firstly you need to configure your wet610n by connecting the device to your Linksys router (one of 4x Ethernet ports)by using the included network cable, and run the included CD into your PC (i'm sure you did the steps) follow the step wizards ...(if you don't have the quick installation guideline click the link).

basically by defaults settings, the device can work normally.

If you need to change the defaults, you can always access the wet610n device from your pc browser by typing its ip address.
Good luck,

I am having a great deal of difficulty configuring my Linksys Wireless Router to work with my WET610N Wireless Linksys Bridge. Can anyone help me with the step by step configuration to enable internet connection of my BluRay DVD Player? I am confused over what I am to input on the router, and Linksys is no help.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for this useful primer. I'm currently recommending/installing a WDS solution for a Howard Johnson Motel. Because they have already wired both floors of their motel, I'm just going to setup APs with directional 15dBi antennas for each hard wired link.
