Linksys WRT110N Vs E1200 Vs New Belkin N300

First generation of Linksys wireless N routers are engineered by draft 802.11n technology. Even though not may differences between the draft and the ratified versions of the 802.11n standard, it’s likely you feel inconvenience using the draft technology when the final version of the standard has been around for a while.

Linksys WRT110N is not as successful as the new generations of Linksys new E series such as Linksys E1200 N300 in the market place. And even when you compare with the legacy Linksys WRT54GL which receives averagely 4.3 out of five star customer ratings, the average customer rating received by WRT110N is 2.6 out of five stars.

In its class, you can compare Linksys WRT110N Vs Linksys E1200 Vs next generation Belkin N300 routers.

Connectivity Ports

The Linksys Wrt110n is engineered based on the draft 802.11n with two internal MIMO antenna technology, while both E1200 and Belkin N300 are based on 802.11n N300 technology delivering the speed up to 300Mbps in single 2.4GHz band. Next generation of Belkin routers are engineered based on Smart-beam antenna technology for solid wireless connection and better coverage.

All the three routers include four fast Ethernet ports on their LAN interfaces and one 10/100Mbps WAN interface. All the three routers have the same wired speed.

What the drawback with all of the three routers is the unavailability of the USB port either for hosting the external disk storage or printer for sharing across the network. The new generations of Linksys E series with USB port are E3200 N600 dual band router and E4200 N750 router. The last two routers include one USB port to let you share storage. However you cannot use the USB port for sharing the printer. Cisco connect software helps you manage the network including security settings, network printer and other network management easily.

Guest network let you create separate network for your guests or visitors when they visit your home to get internet access with limited access to your local network resources.
